Goodbye Bedstuy

Some pics of my old work area, Stuyvesant Heights Landmark neighborhood in Bedford Stuyvesant

My "Man" Bag

Soooo. I carry a bag around a lot. It keeps all my essentials in it (Sketchbook, magazines, camera, work drawings etc.). I'm not a big fan of a backpack especially in the summer since I'd be sweating like a dog. I think it's pretty convenient for me too. Now a lot of the women I know make fun of me saying I carry a "murse" aka a man purse. Why is it a purse? I bought it from the men's bag section of a store. It clearly says "men's tote" when I purchased it too. Am I gay? Helllll no i'm not. A straight guy having a bag is really not a big deal. My comeback to these women is usually "I make this bag look so manly," which in reality I do. lol. I love my "murse" and that's that. Ladies be free to comment on this too. I wanna hear from you guys.

New Office

So I'll be home until Monday since my office is in the process of moving. It's been over five years in that one location. A lot memories and cool people I've met there. Now it's off to Boreum Hill where all the yuppies live. How fun that will be (sarcasm). We'll see what happens on Monday. Until then I'll be roaming the street looking for updates to the blog.

Santogold @ Summerstage-Part.II (The Vids)

Kid Cudi

Santogold @ Summerstage '08

So yesterday I braved the sweltering heat to see a new artist that I've been digging for awhile now. Her name is Santi White aka Santogold, the Brooklyn transplant from Illadelph. It was such a hot day, I don't even know how I did it but it was worth it in the end. The bill comprised of Blaqstarr and Mz Streamz, Kid Cudi, Diplo, A-Trak and the one and only Santogold who closed the show. I don't know who Mz. Streamz is but she did what she could (lol). Her dj Blaqstarr did his thing though. Kid Cudi came out after that and put it down to my surprise. While everyone was waiting for Ms. White to appear, Diplo and A-Trak rocked the house with a mixture of classic Hip Hop joints and some sick fusion of house/dance/hip hop stuff which they're known for. Santogold eventually took the stage and rocked the crowd performing the hottest cuts from her brilliant debut album. The hot and sweaty crowd left definitely pleased with no regrets at all. Peep the pictures below, videos to come in part 2.
