Santogold @ Summerstage '08

So yesterday I braved the sweltering heat to see a new artist that I've been digging for awhile now. Her name is Santi White aka Santogold, the Brooklyn transplant from Illadelph. It was such a hot day, I don't even know how I did it but it was worth it in the end. The bill comprised of Blaqstarr and Mz Streamz, Kid Cudi, Diplo, A-Trak and the one and only Santogold who closed the show. I don't know who Mz. Streamz is but she did what she could (lol). Her dj Blaqstarr did his thing though. Kid Cudi came out after that and put it down to my surprise. While everyone was waiting for Ms. White to appear, Diplo and A-Trak rocked the house with a mixture of classic Hip Hop joints and some sick fusion of house/dance/hip hop stuff which they're known for. Santogold eventually took the stage and rocked the crowd performing the hottest cuts from her brilliant debut album. The hot and sweaty crowd left definitely pleased with no regrets at all. This weekend I picked up the Canon 40D. I've been like a kid in a candy store, snapping pictures of pretty much everything trying to just get familiar with the new toy. From now on my pictures are going to look even better than ever. Be prepared for more photo updates.

So today is the last day of the holiday weekend and my usual chill day. I decided to do to my favorite skateshop here in Brooklyn "KCDC". I chilled there for a bit but it was too hot. Picked up a couple kicks and hung out in Williamsburg with the "hipsters for a sec.

Fight of self

I'm realizing from my interactions with women that I'm not the nicest person in the world. I tend to think I'm nice but in reality I'm quite mean. Apart from that I see myself constantly finding cool women who give themselves to me and I just seem to fuck shit up. Case in point this one special person who was really into me and I pretty much messed that all up with my stupidity.
Women, it's not that men don't want to change their ways, we do, it's just that change takes time. I'm changing but I still resort to my old ways sometimes but that doesn't mean I'm not genuine. If I say i'm into you and I want to be with you then I meant it. I'm a man of my word and I never falter on that.
So women just analyze the situations more and don 't be so quick to dismiss

Jersey (finale?)

So this weekend I spent yet another weekend in Jersey. My friend and I did the usual. breakfast, shop a bit and just relaxed. We did the usual, breakfast/brunch is usually at this spot called Jefferson's. The food there is soooo good, brings back memories of my grandmother's cooking. Check out the flicks.
